Description
Ivy Cottage is a house that was previously two cottages. It dates from the 17th century, with an early 18th century addition to the north. The southern part of the building is timber framed with red brick nogging, while the northern section is constructed of brick. It has a half hipped old tile roof with a partial catslide at the rear. The south front features a two-bay framed cross wing with gables on both the east and west sides.
The building is two storeys high and has a plat band to the right and a central ridge stack. On the first floor, there are two 2-light 20th century leaded casements flanking a blind window that is off-centre to the right, along with a small 20th century casement off-centre to the left. The ground floor has two 3-light 20th century leaded casements flanking a half-glazed door that is sheltered by a gabled timber porch. Additionally, there is a 2-light 20th century leaded casement in a one-storey lean-to to the right.
