Description
This is a barn located to the north-west of Pigeon House, dating from the 17th or 18th century. It features weatherboard cladding on a timber frame, with some sections of exposed timber frame and brick infill on the north-east side. The roof is thatched, and there is a sarsen and brick plinth on the south-west side. The barn has three bays on the south side, with a central entry. Inside, it has high Queen post and queen strut trusses, double purlins, with the upper purlins clasped and the lower ones butted. The two bays to the north have an entry in the south bay, and the truss in this section has a low collar and truncated principals, along with double purlins.
