Description
The Grange is a farmhouse that has been converted into offices. It dates back to the 16th century, with an 18th-century block added to the east and some 20th-century additions to the west. The central block features a rendered timber frame with a tile-hung gable end and an old tile roof supported by three stacks. It consists of two framed bays and has two storeys plus an attic. There is one 20th-century casement window on each floor and a 20th-century gabled timber porch on the right.
The eastern block is constructed of grey brick with red dressings, including a plinth, a plat band, and a moulded brick eaves cornice, all beneath a hipped old tile roof that has a 20th-century dormer. This block is also two storeys high and features canted bays that rise to the eaves on both the north and south fronts, with three glazing bar sashes on each floor, all with exposed wooden boxes.
Inside, the ground floor room to the south contains an 18th-century fireplace with a simple moulded surround and ceramic tiles. There are also 20th-century additions to the west.
