Description
The Old Rectory is a private house that was originally built as a rectory in the late 18th century, with extensions and alterations made in the 19th and 20th centuries. The building is constructed of brick and features slate roofs, forming a U shape with the oldest part located to the south and a later extension to the north. It has two storeys and is characterized by stone eared architraves around the windows, with those on the ground floor featuring cornices supported by console brackets. There is a rendered band at the first-floor cill level, wide flat eaves, flanking chimneys on the south block, and two ridge chimneys on the north-east block.
On the south elevation, there are four glazing bar sash windows. The east elevation features central double doors beneath a rectangular fanlight that is marginally glazed, along with a cornice on console brackets. Above the doors, there is one glazing bar sash window set in a stone arch, flanked by symmetrically placed chimneys.
