Description

Nos 11 and 13 Bugle Street is a fine mid-18th century house that stands two storeys high with attics and a basement. The building is constructed of brick set on a stuccoed plinth, featuring a brick parapet with five panels and a stone coping at the roof. It has a stuccoed moulded cornice and a brick stringcourse at the first floor level. The house includes two recessed gabled dormers and five sash windows with stone cills. The central doorcase is set in a deep recess and is framed by an impressive stone surround with engaged Doric columns, an entablature that has a triglyph frieze, and a pediment above. The door features a rectangular wreathed cast iron fanlight and a six fielded panelled door.
