Description
Langley Hall is a house that has been converted into offices. It dates from the late 17th century, with a facade that was updated in the early to mid 18th century. The building was internally rebuilt and its wings were reconstructed in the late 1970s. The exterior features grey brick headers with red brick window dressings and Bath Stone quoins, topped by an old tile two-span roof. The structure has three storeys and includes moulded string courses, a coped parapet, end stacks, and two stacks at the rear.
The facade consists of five bays with glazing bar sash windows that have exposed wooden boxes, gauged heads, and fluted keystones. The central entrance features a six-panelled door with a rectangular overlight, framed by a stone Doric doorcase with unfluted half columns, a triglyph frieze, and a cornice. Flanking the main building are two-storey set back wings made of brick, each with hipped tile roofs and scattered sash windows that also have gauged heads and keystones. Additionally, there is a large bay window on the ground floor at the rear.
