Description

The barn, likely dating from the 17th century, stands to the north of Blagrave Old Farmhouse. It is constructed of red brick with blue headers, set upon a plinth. The roof is asbestos, with a half-hipped design. A lean-to extension is attached to the left at an angle, and a lower extension projects to the south, featuring corbelled corners. A central, half-hipped entrance break is visible, with a tiled roof over the north aisle, supported by piers to a wall plate and featuring central doors. The building is listed for its internal timber structure, which comprises five bays. Within, there are braced tiebeams, arch braced collars, and two rows of through purlins, occasionally incorporating wind braces.
