Description
50 Mount Pleasant is a two-storey building with an attic and basement, constructed in the 18th century. It features silver grey brick with red quoins and window surrounds, along with rubbed brick window arches. A string course runs at the first floor level, topped by a moulded brick cornice and a parapet with an old tiled roof. The building has two hipped casement window dormers and four glazing bar sash windows on the first floor. The entrance includes a six-panel door with a rectangular overlight and an early 19th-century trellis porch. There are early 19th-century spearhead railings and a gate with square standards topped with urns on a stone base facing the road. Inside, the first floor boasts very good panelling, and the front room features a fireplace with a fluted frieze. The ground floor front room also has a contemporary marble fireplace and is panelled.
