Description

This mid-19th century milepost is located about 130 yards east of Honeyend Lane on the north side of Bath Road. It was made by T & J Perry of Reading and is constructed from cast iron. The milepost has a triangular shape, featuring the inscriptions 'Reading 2 miles' to the east, 'Newbury 15 miles' to the west, and 'London 41' on a panel above.
