Description
The Maltings is a cottage that has been converted into two dwellings. It dates from the early 18th century and features a chequer brick front, which may have been part of an earlier building. The cottage has a thatched roof that is half hipped to the right-hand side. There is one tall stack on the left-hand side of the front roofslope and another stack on the right-hand side, opposite the door, located on the ridge; both stacks have offset heads. The building is one storey with an attic and includes three dormers that are set into the thatch. To the right of the center, there is a two-panel door with a flat head, flanked by three-light casements on each side, and two modern casements to the left-hand side. Additionally, there is a one-storey wing with a slate roof at the left end.
