Description

The boundary walls and gatepiers to Number 3, The Old Rectory, were built in 1848 by architect Butterfield. The walls are constructed from coursed greensand rubble and feature four stone piers and four gatepiers that mark two entrances on Stockwell Lane. The piers have moulded limestone cappings, with the gatepiers being more elaborate. Additionally, there are copings on the arched sections of the wall that flank the entrances.
