Description
No 4 High Street is an 18th-century building constructed from ashlar stone, featuring a modern tiled roof with coped gables and yellow brick chimney stacks. The building has a wooden eaves cornice adorned with carved circular medallions. It stands three storeys tall with floorbands. The central entrance consists of a six-panelled door topped by an arched radiating fanlight, framed by a wooden doorcase with pilasters that support a triangular pediment, which is broken over the arched head of the doorway. On either side of the entrance, there are 19th-century canted bay windows set on stone bases, which do not have glazing bars in their sashes. Each upper floor contains three barred sashes, all featuring plain stone architraves and keyblocks.
