Description
Bridge House is a building from the late 18th century, constructed of ashlar stone and topped with a shallow slate roof. It features stone-coped gables with moulded kneelers and a dentilled cornice along the eaves. There are yellow brick chimney stacks at both ends of the building. The structure stands three storeys high and has floorbands.
The façade includes five sash windows set in reveals, each surrounded by elaborate pilasters and flat arches that have fluted keystones. The central entrance boasts a six-panel door within a wooden doorcase, which is adorned with reeded pilasters, consoles, and a dentilled triangular pediment that is broken over the semi-circular head of the doorway. This entrance also features a fanlight and panelled reveals, with two stone steps leading up to it. The north gable has blind windows, while the rear wing has two sash windows on each floor of the south elevation, which are topped with flat lintels and keystones.
