Description

No. 38 High Street is an early 17th-century building constructed with a timber frame and plaster. It stands three storeys high with an attic and features three sash windows, a suitable shop front, and two box dormers in the tiled roof. The building has a dentilled cornice and a tall brick chimney stack. The sash windows have moulded wooden frames and no glazing bars. The early 19th-century shop front is double fronted with a central entrance. Inside, there is a fine early 17th-century staircase leading from the first floor up.
