Description
The Old Rectory is a house dating from the late 17th century or early 18th century that has been altered. It is constructed of plum-coloured brick with gauged brick dressings and features a hipped old tile roof with a moulded and bracketed wood brick cornice. The building has two hipped dormers and flanking chimneys with offset heads. It is two storeys high with an attic and has a first-floor band. The south front consists of five bays, with the three central bays slightly projecting and a pediment above. The windows are sash style set in architrave frames, although the ground floor glazing has been altered, featuring flat gauged brick arches. There is a central glazed door in an architrave surround, complete with console brackets and a cornice. The west front has three bays, with the outer bays slightly projecting and a cornice that is broken cut above. The outer bays have sash windows, while the centre bay contains brick panels and an early 19th-century canted bay window on the left side.
Inside, the drawing room features contemporary panelling, and there is a modern staircase.
