Description
Mill House is a late 18th-century building located on Church Street in Olney. It is constructed of stone and features a slate roof with coped gables and shaped kneelers. The building has a moulded wooden eaves cornice with a dentil course and yellow brick end chimney stacks. It stands three storeys high and has floor bands.
The central entrance consists of a six-panelled door topped with a semi-circular fanlight. This door is framed with a moulded surround and has panelled reveals, along with a wooden doorcase that includes reeded pilasters and consoles supporting a triangular pediment that is broken beneath. The façade is adorned with sash windows set in flat eaves architraves, featuring fluted keystones and plain cills. There are two sash windows on each side of the door and five on both of the upper floors.
At the rear, there is a two-storey block that includes a central six-panel door with a flat hood supported by cut brackets. Each side of this door features a tripartite sash window, and there are two additional sash windows on the first floor, all of which are topped with flat stone arches that include keystones.
