Description

No. 23 High Street is an 18th-century building that has been altered. It is constructed of ashlar stone with a slate roof and features brick stacks, two flat-topped dormers, and wooden dentilled eaves cornice. The building is two storeys high and has a central six-panelled door with a rectangular fanlight that has a margin glazing pattern. The wooden doorcase includes a reeded architrave, a pulvinated frieze, small consoles, and a simple cornice. On either side of the door, there are tripartite sash windows with flat arches and keyblocks, one of which was restored in 1981. Above, there are two similar windows, and a false window is located centrally over the door.
