Description

No 85 on Tickford Street is an 18th-century building that has been altered in the 19th century. It is constructed of red brick and features an old tiled roof. The building has two storeys, with a band at the first floor and a dentil brick cornice. There are three sash windows set in reveals, with stucco flat arches and glazing bars on the first floor. The entrance includes a door with an oblong fanlight in the reveal, flanked by slim reeded pilasters, and topped with a frieze and a cornice hood. No 85 is part of a group that includes Nos 71 to 85 (odd) and The George Inn on Tickford Street.
