Description

Eglinton is a two-storey house built around 1850-1860, constructed from stone rubble with rusticated quoins. It features a new tiled hipped gable end roof with overhanging eaves and cusped, pierced bargeboards. The house has two gables above the two outer first-floor windows, which are casements with dropped drip moulds, and the outer windows have plaques above them. On the ground floor, there are two canted bays with scallop slate roofs and panelled aprons. The central entrance is a large gable with a glazed porch. This building is included for its group interest alongside Mulberry House and Mulberry Cottage.
