Description
Moncrieff Farm is a farmhouse dating from the 17th century or early 18th century, which was converted into two cottages in the late 19th century. The building is two storeys high and constructed of stone rubble, with a slate gable end roof that was originally thatched. It features one three-light stone mullioned window on each floor, with the ground floor window having a drip mould. A later door is located to the right of this window. To the left, there is a late 19th-century yellow brick porch and an additional window extension. Inside, the farmhouse has queen post trusses and a central massive chimney that includes a bread oven. There is also a blind two-light stone mullioned window in the west gable. The house is oriented to face Middle Barn Lane.
