Description
Blackbridge House is a house dating from around 1560, with 19th-century alterations and refenestration in the 20th century. It is constructed of Isle of Wight stone rubble with brick dressings and features a thatched roof supported by three brick chimneystacks. The building has two storeys and attics in the gable end, with a total of six windows. The windows are primarily 20th-century casements, and there is a 19th-century trellised wooden porch with a thatched canopy. The gable end is adorned with stone coping and kneelers, as well as two stone mullioned attic windows and an S-shaped iron tie. The house has a deep plinth and a 19th-century brick and tiled extension at the rear. The interior includes a roll moulded spine beam, but further details of the interior have not been observed.
