Description

The gate, gatepiers, and wall to Nunwell House were built in the late 19th century. The structure features a section of curved walling that stands about 5 feet high, topped with stone coping. This wall ramps up to two rusticated brick piers, each adorned with ball finials. To the left of the main entrance, there is a round-headed pedestrian entrance flanked by two similar piers. The central carriage entrance is highlighted by elaborate wrought and cast iron gates, which include scrollwork panels, some featuring a lily design, and are topped with decorative sinuous lilies and wheat ears.
