Description

The lodge to Wydcombe Manor, built around 1863, is designed in the cottage orne style. It is constructed from small chips of stone with brick dressings and lacing courses. The roof is thatched and features a central brick chimneystack. The front includes a brick canted bay with two cambered-headed casements in the center and two additional casements on the sides. A projecting central thatched gabled porch has fretted bargeboards and rustic supports, along with a cambered doorcase. The roof has both half-hipped and gabled sections, also adorned with fretted bargeboards, and there is a large channelled brick chimneystack.
