Description

This is a mid-18th century barn located near Newport Road, Calbourne. It is built of coursed stone rubble with four brick ventilation slits, and has a slate roof. The barn features a central cart entrance that is hipped to one side. It is a five-bay barn with an angled queen strut roof, which incorporates two tiers of staggered purlins and some diagonal braces.
