Description
Bars Hill House is an early 19th-century building located on the south-west side of Bath Road in West Cowes. It is constructed of grey headers with red brick dressings and quoins, and features a roof that is concealed by a parapet. The house has three storeys, with one window facing Bath Road and two windows plus one window space facing Bars Hill. It includes painted stringcourses and sash windows with intact glazing bars. A prominent feature is the large stuccoed bow window with three lights on all floors facing Bath Road. The entrance on the Bars Hill elevation has a doorcase with engaged columns, an open pediment, and a semi-circular tympanum.
