Description
7 Anglesea Street is a small detached house, possibly once semi-detached, built in the early 19th century. The front is finished in stucco, while the sides are covered in rough-cast render, and the roof is slate.
The house faces north onto Anglesea Street and features a double-pile plan, being two bays wide and two storeys high. Each pile has a pitched roof with gable ends on the east and west sides. There is a brick ridge stack at the east end of the front roof. Attached to the west side of the rear pile is a single-storey pitched roof range, which appears on the 1843 Tithe map. The gap between the main house and this single-storey range has been enclosed to create a car port.
On the front elevation, there are three eight-over-eight sash windows: two on the first floor and one on the ground floor to the east of the door. The door itself features six fielded panels and is framed by a doorcase with narrow pilaster strips and a simple bracketed projecting cornice.
The west side elevation includes a small two-over-two sash window on the ground floor, while the single-storey range has a doorway with a late 20th-century glazed door.
