Description

Arthur Cottage, built around 1850, is an estate cottage associated with the Osborne Estate and named after one of Queen Victoria's sons. It is designed in the Italianate style and features a stucco exterior with a slate roof. The building has two storeys and a total of seven windows. The end bays project slightly and have double round-headed sash windows on the first floor, while the ground floor features three-light sash windows with shutters. A wide wooden bracket eaves cornice and a stringcourse add to its architectural detail. The recessed center includes a slated verandah supported by five chamfered wooden piers, with five windows, the central one being a three-light window. There are also two simple doorcases, each with rectangular fanlights.
