Description
The Dairy Cottage is a cottage that was built around 1675 and altered in the mid-19th century. It is constructed from Isle of Wight stone rubble, with a roof that is mainly tiled, although the four lower courses are made of slate. There is a brick chimneystack. The cottage has two storeys and attics in the gable ends, featuring four windows. The end elevation facing the road has two blocked oval windows in the attic, with tumbling in and kneelers at the gable end, along with two mid-19th century sash windows that have verticals only and horns. There is a deep plinth, four 19th-century casements on the side elevation, and two cambered doors. Originally, this building served as a service building to Sheat Manor.
