Description
37A Duke Street is a terraced house built around 1780, featuring a façade made of wooden blocks designed to resemble mortar joints and a tiled roof. The building has two storeys above a basement and includes a dormer with a single-window range. The front is accented by rusticated quoins on either side. The entrance is located in an extension to the left, which has a parapet that rises to meet the main structure. This entrance features a round-arched opening with a rusticated architrave and a blank fanlight above it. There is a two-storey segmental bay with tripartite windows and a cornice topped with a ball ornament. The house retains original design sashes throughout, along with a parapet and a dormer set within a double gambrel roof, complemented by side stacks. The interior has not been inspected. Additionally, there are cast-iron area railings with ornate finials.
