Description
The Lodge to St Anne's Convent, also known as St Michael's Lodge, is an early 19th-century building that was extended in the mid to late 19th century. It is constructed of stucco over brick and features slate roofs. The lodge has a rectangular plan with a short south-west front that serves as the entrance.
The south-west front is a single storey with three bays and round arched head openings. It has a nine-pane sash window on the left and a blocked area to the right of the entrance, which is accessed through a single-storey enclosed Greek Doric porch. This porch has a frieze of garlands and a half-glazed door with marginal glazing bars.
The long left return consists of four bays with irregular fenestration, where the window openings are topped with an entablature supported by console brackets. At the north-east end, there is a two-storey addition. This lodge was originally built for the property known as Wick Lodge, which is now St Anne's Convent.
