Description
This is an early 19th-century detached house, later used as a hotel, and now a retirement home. The building is stuccoed with a slate roof. It is two storeys high and has an irregular arrangement of windows. A flat-arched entrance on the north side is framed by antae and an entablature, with a storey band above. The south front is symmetrical, with hipped wings on either side and segmental bays at the angles. A late 20th-century addition obscures the ground floor between the wings, while single-storey bays are located on each wing; the bay to the left is canted. There are stacks on the side walls and ridges. The interior has not been inspected. A wall of coursed cobbles with half-round brick coping, of varying heights, runs along the north side of the building with three repaired brick piers, extending along the west side and for approximately 70 metres beyond the building.
