Description

The structure is a groyne and pleasure promenade located on the beach to the west of the Palace Pier in Brighton. It dates from around 1880 and was used at one time as a coal delivery pier. Sections of the groyne have been rebuilt throughout the 20th century. It is constructed from flint, with a walkway made of paving stones.
