Description

This is a terraced house located on Waterloo Place, Brighton, dating to around 1819 and designed by Amon Wilds. The house is constructed of stucco with a roof hidden behind a parapet. It is four storeys high, with a basement, and has a two-window facade. A flight of steps leads to a round-arched entrance. The ground floor features a three-light segmental bay, with a central window containing 6/6 sash windows of the original design; the side windows were boarded up when inspected. The first floor has a rectangular bay window with a bracketed verandah, featuring latticed uprights and rails, much of which is decayed or missing, and a concave lead roof. The second floor has original 6/6 sash windows in the window over the verandah and one blank window to the left. The third floor has no glazing in the window over the verandah and one blank window to the left. A cornice and blocking course complete the exterior. The interior has not been inspected.
