Description

The outbuildings and byre, now serving as a garage for The White Gate, date back to the 16th century. They are constructed with a timber frame and brick infill, with one wall partially rebuilt in brick. The building features an asbestos gabled roof and has a rectangular plan consisting of three framed bays. The exterior is one and a half storeys high, with 20th-century garage doors on the west side. Inside, the timber frame is exposed, showcasing large tie beams, the central one having mortices from a former partition, and there is a later loft floor. This structure is included for its group value with The White Gate.
