Description
Parkfields is a late 17th to 18th century building located on the north-west side of Westcroft Road in Carshalton. It was originally an ancillary building to the 18th century house, Parkfields, which was demolished in the early 20th century. The structure is two storeys high and features a hipped red tile roof. The walls are made of brick with brick dentil eaves. The building has altered fenestration, with six windows on the first floor, including five sash windows and a three-light casement with iron tracery. On the ground floor, there are round-headed arches, some of which have been converted into windows. From left to right on the ground floor, there are two windows, a door, a window, and a single-storey addition at the right end with a modern glazed door. The building is part of a group that includes Parkfields, piers, walls, and railings, as well as Westcroft Cottage and Westcroft Farm Cottage, forming a cohesive historical context with Bramblehaw End, Bramblehaw Cottage, and an outbuilding over the drive to Bramblehaw Cottage.
