Description

Nos 2 to 6 on Thames Street in Hampton are a range of two-storey houses, likely dating from the 17th century based on the exposed internal timbers. They feature a continuous, steeply pitched tiled roof that extends to the eaves on Nos 2 and 6.

No 2 is rough-cast and has two windows, along with a dormer for an attic storey. It also includes a larger single-storey canted bay on the eastern elevation. No 4 is smooth rendered and has two later 3-light canted bays flanking a central entrance door of similar age. The roof line has been raised to create a timber eaves cornice. No 6 is also smooth rendered, one window wide, with its entrance door located in a single-storey lean-to on the left.
