Description

This is a mid-19th century terrace of three two-storey houses, numbered 7, 8, and 9 St John’s Grove. Each house has a two-window frontage, with entrance doors located in the left-hand bays. The houses share a continuous slated and hipped roof extending to the eaves. They are constructed of stock brick. The ground floor windows are set within segmental brick recesses with gauged brick detailing. Nos. 7 and 9 have had bow windows inserted at a later date. Upper floor windows have square heads with gauged brick surrounds and glazing bars. Each house features a doorcase with paterae in the frieze, although the front doors themselves have been renewed.
