Description
Downes House is a circa 1830 stucco building of two storeys and three bays, with associations with Charles Dickens. It has an eaves cornice and a pediment across the full width of the building. The ground floor is slightly advanced and features a projecting porch with fluted Ionic columns in antis, topped by a frieze, cornice, and an iron-railed parapet.
