Description

The Church of St John, built in 1872 by architect A J Phelps, is located in Kingston-upon-Thames on Grove Lane. The church is constructed of squared ragstone and features tiled roofs at the eaves. It showcases an Early English style with plate tracery windows. The layout includes a four-bay nave with aisles, transepts, a chancel, and an apsidal-ended sanctuary. There is a south western porch, and the church does not have a clerestory. A squat tower with an octagonal turret, designed in a matching style, was added to the southeast in 1936.
