Description

This is an early 18th-century building, with alterations made in the late 18th or early 19th century. It is two storeys high, with a semi-basement and attics. The front is of yellow brick, featuring gauged arches over the windows. The roof is a tiled mansard roof hidden behind a parapet front, with two gable ends displaying brick verges. There are two chimneys and three flat-headed dormers. The front facade has one central window and three windows on each side, all within splayed bays that extend the full height of the building. The windows are sash windows with 12 panes per sash. The central entrance is a six-panel door, topped with a semi-circular fanlight containing radiating bars. The entrance is surrounded by rusticated stone blocks, alternately laid and vermiculated, culminating in a carved keystone. A simple iron balustrade leads to the entrance via stone steps. The building possesses group value.
