Description
Sarah Trimmer Hall, formerly St George's Church Hall, is a building dating from 1786. Constructed of brown brick, it features a hipped roof covered in old tiles. The building is single-storied and has an oblong plan with six sash windows. It is set at a right angle to the road. This building served as the first school founded by Mrs Sarah Trimmer (1741-1810), a pioneer of the Sunday School movement.
