Description
Mogden House is a house dating from the early to mid 18th century, with an extension added around the late 18th century. It is constructed of yellow brick with red dressings on the original block. The house has two storeys plus dormers and features a front that is four windows wide, with the three left bays being original. The original bays have segmental headed windows, while the centre window on the first floor is blind. The right bay has square gauged headed windows. The sashes are flush framed, with some upper windows in the outer bays featuring glazing bars, while others have plate glass. The roof is double pitched and tiled, extending to the eaves. The rear range, added in the late 18th century, retains unhorned recessed sashes with glazing bars and blind boxes on the upper windows. There is a staircase located at the rear of the original range, and an upper room in the original part still has its original panelling.
