Description

The monument to Robert Shorediche, who died in 1778, is located about ten yards south-southeast of the porch of St Giles' Church. It is a rectangular tomb chest featuring fluted corner pilasters and an armorial relief on the west end. The Shorediche family were Lords of the Manor for centuries, and there is a 1624 monument to one of them located inside the church.
