Description
The Five Bells Inn is a building that likely dates back to the 17th century, with a late 18th century extension at the left side. It is constructed of brownish brick and features a brick dentil cornice. The main front section has a mid-19th century stuccoed parapet and consists of two storeys with two windows. The roof is steeply pitched, hipped at the road side, and has a compound stack made of old brick. All the roofs are tiled. The windows are mid-19th century sash windows with vertical bars, and there is a central double door framed by a modified entablature. The right side of the building displays two mid-19th century canted oriel windows on the first floor. Inside, there are some stop-chamfered beams. The Five Bells Inn is part of a group that includes Tower House, The Vicarage, and the Sun House.
