Description

The Lodge is an early to mid 19th century house constructed of yellow brick, featuring two storeys and three large windows. It has a hipped slate roof with eaves soffit. The windows, which are now boarded up, have gauged flat brick arches. The central entrance is a wide segment-arched recess that is wood-panelled and flanked by side pilasters. Three stone steps, accompanied by wrought iron railings and gates, lead up to this recess, which contains a door with a traceried fanlight. The return walls of the building are slightly bowed out, and the roofs above these bows have been expanded to create shaped rooms inside.
