Description
Field End Lodge is a 16th-century L-shaped house located on Field End Road in Eastcote. It features a timber frame and plaster construction, with a rectangular addition made of painted brick from the 17th century. The building is two storeys high and has four modern two-light casement windows. A modern "Tudor" porch is present, and there are two gables that overhang at the first-floor level supported by brackets; the south gable has a modern fascia board while the east gable reveals exposed corbels. There is also a modern addition to the northeast. Inside, the lodge showcases much exposed timber, including swell-head posts, heavy ties, a side purlin roof with wind braces, and round-headed doors with pegged spandrels on the upper floor.
