House. c.1936 by Connell, Ward and Lucus; later C20 alterations. Painted concrete. 3 storeys. Asymmetrical elevation of 2 bays the right-hand bay wider and breaking forward on ground and 1st floors; garage projects forward from left-hand bay. In Modern Movement style. Late C20 glazing and doors but copying original fenestration and glazing-bar pattern. Porch in angle with garage, originally open-fronted, now with ex-situ 1930s door. To its right, long window with door on right. Similar window and door above, door opening on to solid-fronted, iron-railed, balcony. 2nd floor originally an open-fronted sun-deck; now walled and with continuous window. Left-bay: garage, now part of house has glazed sliding door. Above it rises stair bay with central solid panel framed by glazing. Flat roof with oversailing eaves. Rear: left bay recessed on 1st and 2nd floors. On ground floor wide doorway and 3-light window; another doorway to right-hand bay. On 1st floor left bay has door giving access to bowed, iron-railed, balcony, with continuous window to right and 3-light window to right bay. On 2nd floor formerly open sun deck has vertical board walling with 3 small windows; 2-light window to right bay. Right return: 3 porthole windows to ground floor. Left return: board door in internal porch which has milk-bottle rack. Interior: original doors and cupboards (with original handles); between kitchen and dining room pivoting door with semicircular shelves and hatch and drawers opening on to both rooms; original parquet floors; dog-leg stair has solid-walled balustrade and original handrail; original glass door with glazing bars to stairs up to former sun deck.
