Description

Melbourne House is a late 18th-century building of two storeys and three windows, situated on South Parade. It is constructed of yellow brick with Portland stone dressings. The roof is slated, hidden behind an altered mansard, with a raised parapet at the east side featuring a lunette with a fan ornament. The building has narrow wings; the wing on the east side has an arched entrance and a parapet, while the wing on the west side has eaves to the roof. It is one of the original Georgian houses that was incorporated into the Bedford Park development.
