Description

Coopers is a building now serving as a girls' school, originally constructed by Francis Cooper. The oldest part, which dates from the late 18th century, is the southeast front that faces the garden and is made of red brick. The northwest front, which faces the road, was built in the early 19th century and is made of yellow brick. Both fronts feature a central section that is three storeys high, with three windows on the road side and four windows on the garden side. There are two wings, each with two windows on the road side and three on the garden side. The building has a cornice and parapet, and the glazing bars are intact. A painted string course runs along the road front, and there is a doorway with pilaster strips and a cornice.
