Description

No. 231 on High Street in St Mary Cray dates from around 1830 and is a three-storey building with three windows. It has a stuccoed exterior and is flanked by decorative pilasters with capitals positioned about one foot below the entablature. The building features a cornice and a parapet. The windows, which are now blocked up, are set in moulded architrave surrounds. The ground and first floor windows have cornices above them, with the ground floor featuring tripartite windows. To the south, there is an additional recessed window bay that extends only two storeys. There are also two doorways, each adorned with pilasters, pediments, and rectangular fanlights.
